Full Time Position

Looking for energetic and creative staff for a gender specific population of women and children.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, provide developmental care and supervision to children enrolled in a Therapeutic Childcare; implement age appropriate curriculum, scheduled activities and programs for children; establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents; monitor children’s developmental progress and perform related work as required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plans, adapts and schedules age appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate children’s cognitive skills, abilities and development.
2. Provides continuous supervision to the children enrolled; ensures health and safety of children.
3. Maintain unit, rooms and play areas in a clean orderly and safe condition; set up rooms and areas for various activities such as lunch, nap, games, etc.
4. Records daily observation of children’s behavior and activities; monitors behavioral patterns and conduct assessments and develop goals.
5. Maintain accurate attendance and enrollment records; maintains appropriate confidential records.
6. Monitors children for signs of child abuse and reports incidents of suspected abuse to appropriate authorities.

Additional Information:
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting up to 50lbs unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications
1. Be at least 21 years of age
2. Have one of the following minimum academic credentials;
• An associate degree and two years of qualifying childcare experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one years of qualifying childcare experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and three or more years of qualifying childcare experience
