Educational Director

A new Child Drop-In Center is looking to hire an Educational Director with experience. The center is looking to open in the Newburgh, NY area soon.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree including, or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field
One year full-time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program
One year of experience supervising staff.

Additional Requirements:
Highly organized
Flexible regarding days/times available to work
High degree of empathy, social and emotional intelligence
Background check & DOE fingerprinting required
Articulate, engaging & excellent problem-solving skills necessary
Ability to work with a diverse population with tact & diplomacy
Strong supervisory/management skills as well as excellent writing ability.
